CARBONATE COPPER - Calcite copper white crystal looks like quartz = carbonate
Azurite copper ( blue stained ) = carbonate
Malachite copper ( green stained ) = carbonate
Chalcopyrite ( iron origin ) = sulphide copper
Native copper = copper metal
COPPER TRANSITIONS
Cooper when it oxidizes will change its form.
If the source copper was from iron = copper sulphide.
But.. if the copper leaches in an alkai - it wil ltransition into carbonates.
If the majoreity of copper found on McBride is in carbonates...
Then, it would be really neat to see the geo's hone in on an area where the carbonate
copper rocks leached by means of sulphide waters and washed down into the sands.
Locating a " choke point " where the carbonate copper might have concentrated
to allow for high percentages. Heck... show me an area of, 500m x 500m x 5m and i
would be happy - lol
Don't mind me.. i like talking about minerals... lol
Only pointed th ecarbonate vs sulphide copper out - in hopes the junior might have
only tested the 2019 drillcore for sulphide copper and not carbonate.
Who knows.. maybe both were checkedc at the lab... but one never knows.
After all... the samples on McBride in 2018 over a 2km strike - were in acarbonatr copper form.
As per , GT Gold...
their copper does show Chalcoprite - but there's 2 other copper signatures ( carbonates )
As for McBride...
Yeah... i'd hone in on some silts - look for a trapment basin - in which the carbonate copper
may have reconsolodated and concentrated.
Mybe the 2km strike of carbonate malachite is only sporadic..
One would think the drills would have picked up at least a - 1m depth copper malachite
near surface same as, samples taken in 2018 - i'd be happy with just 1 meter and 2km strike.
Oh, well.
Copper...
carbonate vs sulphide.
Just thought i'd point out what ifound.
Perhaps Hawkeyes 2 other golden trianlge claims - will produce results.
One pic on their website - appears as if the sands and rocks are very - green.
could be chlorite, but then again it might be... malachite copper.
Time will tell.
Why only one drill hole, on McBride ? ( weather )
Sure would 've been nice to see 30 holes @ 5m each.
Knowing the copper is mostly in carbonates - target the upper strata with a flurry
of shallow drills looking for the easy post leached copper in reconcolodated sands.?
Cheers...
