HPQ Silicon Inc V.HPQ

Alternate Symbol(s):  HPQFF

HPQ Silicon Inc. (HPQ) is a Canada-based technology company specializing in green engineering of silica and silicon-based materials. The Company is engaged in developing, with the support of technology partners PyroGenesis Canada Inc. (PyroGenesis) and Novacium SAS, new green processes to make the critical materials needed to reach net zero emissions. Its activities are centered around the three pillars: becoming a green low-cost (Capex and Opex) manufacturer of Fumed Silica using the Fumed Silica Reactor, a proprietary technology owned by HPQ being developed for HPQ by PyroGenesis; becoming a producer of silicon-based anode materials for battery applications with the assistance of Novacium SAS, and Novacium SAS is engaged in developing a low carbon, chemical base on demand and high-pressure autonomous hydrogen production system. The Company operates in a single operating segment, segment, being the sector of the transformation of quartz into silicon materials and derivative products.

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:PYR Patent update

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:PYR Patent updateThe patent in question is an innovation Pyrogenesis made to their Plasma Atomization system in 2017 in order to create a high production yield of fine particles of metal powder (0-25 um), due to increased interest in the MIM industry and certain types of 3D printing (AM) for this size range of powder.

It’s not related to HPQ – however I think this innovation to their Plasma Atomization system is what Pyro has used as a baseline and modified to produce the PUREVAP NSiR, which makes even finer powders (nano-size) silicon powders. The PUREVAP NSiR is I think a combination of the PUREVAP QRR reactor which converts Quartz to Silicon metal, and the 2nd stage Atomization reactor which uses the QRR silicon as feedstock to be atomized to nano-powder/wires.

Has the new process (PUREVAP NSiR) had a patent application processed yet, or did Bernard mention anything about Patenting the new process?

Thanks for your efforts. Seems we should have queried Bernard at AHM.

I think Bernard said in the agm all the patents were filed by pyr

The USPTO shows one listed under HPQ.

Just about all of the PYR patents (24) show with PYR being the "assignee" and the originating inventors as being the ""assignor".
