I’m sure i’ll take flack for this but i really dont care

So i looked up this new piece of equipment based on the model number in the news release expecting to see a peice of equipment that was at least a hundred grand or so.  LOL is a 1200.00 US battery tester. Thats what the similar searches came up with anyways you have to call for best price LOL! My god why oh why was this a a news release? Thats like going to canadian tire buying a socket set and releasing news about it.  What were they using to test the battery cycles before they purchased this amazing machine from China?

Cost more to disseminate the press release. ;) Good luck to All!

And it is a purchase by Novacium, HPQ's "affiliate company" in which HPQ will have a 20% stake upon completion of a transaction? This is not funny, but if someone wanted to really start poking fun at all of their communication.... On the bright side, whoever was paying for the external lab testing should be saving a lots of money if this and all other testing equipment adds up to ...more

I get the reason for having this type of equipment they want to do in house testing to speed up the overall testing and retesting process i just hope this setup is as accurate as they think it is.  A few grand is not a lot of money to spend on this sort of thing given what its testing.  Like i said i would have expected a high end analyzer which im sure are out there.

I don't believe for a second it's a $1,200 battery tester. I think there's lots of people that are lying here.  Koooo

Well you can google the model number pretty easy or you can call several manufacturers in China and get a better price but i can buy one here.   https://m.made-in-china.com/amp/product/Battery-Tester-for-5V6a-for-18650-Battery-Testing-Machine-1949854682.html it is what it is.  Like i said why a news release for buying a screwdriver? Just seems silly to me thats all i got to say.

patience123, I don't know where you got your $1200.00 price for it but i couldn't find it. Was it new or used ? I am sure THEY did their DD before purchasing. Maybe they asked the battery manufacturers what's best! This is the analyser: [img][/img]  Product Dimensions:   485mm(L) * 508mm(W) *263mm(H). A special laptop is sold seperately. You also have to add the ...more

I think the point is that when you are talking about disrupting things in a space you are quoting to be over $100B in a few years, one would not expect a news release about a purchase of a piece of equipment that costs less than some set of golf clubs.  Kooo's reaction implies the same. Quite frankly, if the cost is a few thousand bucks, I ask why they already didn't have that kind ...more
