Remaining harvest will be delayed by rainDry weather in August allowed western Canadian farmers to get an excellent jump on this year’s harvest. Many farmers’ efforts in harvesting will be delayed by at at least a week because of widespread rain that started today.
Canola prices continue to drop and may test lows from earlier this year. Farmers who signed up for Input’s marketing stream don’t have to worry about sinking canola prices as they will receive $10.89 per bushel with Input arranging and paying for pick-up at the farms. This should bode well for further capital deployment, the key metric for investors imo.
