RE:RE:RE:RE:News from One World 5 millions USD investmentHey Willy,

As this news was just released, I don't know much about what specifically One World intends to do with iSign tech. I can say that hospitals tend to be finicky about devices producing electromagnetic radiation. There was a time that you weren't allowed to bring cell phones into hospitals. iSign's antennae/beacons may already conform to required limits on interference but I don't know...

Where I think iSign/One World may hit snags is around security vulnerabilities that may affect patient privacy. There are strict regulations across North America (HIPAA, PIPEDA, PHIPA, etc) that software vendors providing services to health care need to abide by with respect to patient records and data. iSign/One World will need to spend money making sure that all attack surfaces (both their SaaS infrastructure and their sensors/antennae/beacons) are hardened and certified as compliant with a number of regulations and cybersecurity certifications. That can be a long and costly process that might push out revenue by months or years.

I'm hoping for the best but iSign has not been great at execution in the past. Maybe One World can bring in new blood and kick things up a notch but for myself, I'll likely be exiting most of my ISD position if it hits the 30c range unless One World has a detailed and compressed roadmap to profitability for iSign.
