I suspect some of you are missing some necessary information.
Shorting a stock is not a crime.
When someone feels a stock is heading into the crapper he can as an investment
option chose to short the stock. he has done his DD and made his choice.
Now to discuss the results of his DD on a discussion board may not be popular but it is not unreasonable. A short position is as valid as a long position.
The more the price declines the more the shorter is proven right in his DD.
The shorter is amused at the continuous hype and long positions in the stock as the actual price heads lower and lower. Very amused in that he is one of a minority that is right on the money.
A shorter generally has a better feel for the stock. again amused as his position is closed and the longs cheer and badger the shorter not realising what is really happening. Remember in a bear market the shorts call the shots.
They are the longs.
It is truely amazing the durability and endurance of the longs. they can
still be long and average down as the stock loses 90% of its value.
Totally disconected from reality.
Is the shorter interested in going long once the stock tanks? No.
He just shorts some other over hyped over priced stock.
