Profits in this case only mean 'spent the grant money more slowly and cautiously' and projections mean 'more grant money to come.' This is a company in research phase living off the grants it gets while it tries to become financially viable. While at $.09 it may be a bit of a speculative buy, the company does admit it is a ways off from commercialization of a product. Buy some, roll the share certificates up in a sock, and hide it in the closet for a year or two.
