RE: lignol testsDon't know if LEC is currently performing trial tests for other uses of HP-L Lignin other than for use in OSB (oriented strand board) adhesive.
There are other uses for HP-L Lignin as a substitute for oil-based resins used in production of plastics, but I'm not sure if they are selling HP-L Lignin for that form of testing just yet. Maybe someone else can answer that.
Just to note, the North American market for OSB adhesiveswas over 1 Billion lbs in 2006. Not bad for one potential use of HP-L Lignin. Of course use in the pastics industry could be much bigger I would think.
And then there's the almost free ethanol produced as a by-product of the HP-L Lignin.
Didn't like the market reaction to today's news, but on only 34k shares it's not a big concern. No doubt the market will now be looking for offtakes and that has to come soon as LEC stated they are "in active discussions with a number of potential partners motivated by the recent surge of interest in advanced biofuels and renewable chemicals."
