I guess they didn't see my posting about no AGM!

Matlas,   I still think no AGM.  Could be formality to get it scheduled.   Can someone shed more light on this.

Hopefully my predictive powers regarding the BO price will turn out to be better than regarding whether we will have AGM!:)

They can still cancel the AGM. Premier Gold announced their AGM and Special meeting on Sept 4 and canacelled it on Sept 28. Then anounced Oct 21 AGM with no special meeting and Dec 16 they announced the Buyout. I hope your buyout price prediction is going to happen too.

Interesting DAM$!

Perhaps Steven can offer some insight.  I do recall that he had shared previously about the AGM but cannot remember when.

Perhaps AGM necessary to approve certain executive compensation for the past year? There is a lot of $$$ in the till-maybe they will pay a lot of it out as bonuses? Why leave it behind-probably won't have any impact on BO price. Just a thought.

does the order of information matter at all? I would think if a deal was close they would announce that beforehand, they had quite a bit of time to get the AGM announced yet.

As Steve said before  Bottom line : don't tie your expectations of fabulous news to the AGM and don't fret if the AGM is just an AGM.  Great news will stand alone and that is very normal and appropriate. aswell DAM just showed a case where AGM was cancelled after BO

Right But it occurs to me that, assuming BO announced before AGM, that they could possibly add an item on AGM for information session and or Q&A to be submitted before.
Comment by DAM$ on Sep 21, 2023 6:16pm
NO. I said that Premier set a date, then cancelled it then rescheduled. I was just trying to help Matlas's theory of no AGM. Premeir had thier AGM around Nov 24 that year with no mention of the negotiations going on at the time and were boughtout about 3 weeks later. Although I am always hopeful of gleeming some piece of information from these meetings I don't hold my breath but instead ...more

Oct 4th to be apart of the AGM, and Oct 25th is the latest day for them to notify of things to happen at AGM. Like steven said, they aer not likely to combine anything important.... but inquireing minds like to know dates!
Comment by Smitty64 on Sep 21, 2023 3:57pm
Oct 25 is 8 weeks from the announcement of a financial advisor (Aug 24th). Aligns with $DAM’s Case Study timelines!
Comment by matlas on Sep 21, 2023 4:12pm
But pushing it if they want to complete by end of year. The document from McMillan showed an average of 72 days from date of annoucement. Obviously, that is just an average and a generalization, but I would think that they would want to annouce sooner if having it completed by end of year is a priority, particularly since as we get closer to holiday season, things tend to slow down.
Comment by Wmaver on Sep 21, 2023 4:27pm
The tin hatter in me wonders if they want to lock down the vote before the announcement as that would simplify the vote when it came.  Another thought I had a year ago. But I think Steve said it best.... AGM is just an AGM.  Don't be excited that something else is happening, don't be disappointed if nothing else happens.

Could also just be another year of no BO
