Elsa area silver camp

Elsa area silver campI came across a great article by Mr. R. J. (Bob) Cathro    "Great Mining Camps of Canada 1: History and Geology of Keno Hill Silver Camp, Yukon Territory.

Section 165 to 169 talks about the employment of an "overburden drill" from 1963 to 1988. Over 594 kilometers in 15,000 holes were drilled. According to the article, the drill had excellent recovery, except when encountering water. The cost of drilling per foot was very inexpensive and proved to be an invaluable exploration tool, helping to find  the Husky deposit along with part of the Silver King system.

I wonder if Metallic Minerals used a percussion drill this past month with the aim of trying to locate mineralization at a cheap rate  per foot, thus saving CASH for future work programs!!!

The article is a great read.  Hopefully, MMG's claims will prove to contain a lot of silver, lead, and zinc.
