WEST GOLD OFFER

Here it comes, a hostile offer at $.30 a share.

Based on the fact that MMY has roughly $.10 in cash.
It has its Malaysia assets that are worth a minimum $.30.
it has Australian assets that are worth a minimum $.20

The shareholders would gladly accept $.30 a share and West Gold is aware that a hostile offer could succeed.

This would be a win win situation for us the shareholders and West Gold.

I differ to NOZZ figure out the true value of the assets.

I have my figers and toes crossed . That kind of offer could stir counter offers or a bidding war .  This company is worth far more than 30 cents . Just imagine what it would cost to replace 2 complete mills . All permits in place .  Plus the years of planning , ordering and the mind numbing permits . 12 years is average now .  I hate to keep using the Ring of Fire example . In a ...more

The price of gold hit an intra-day record high of $2,078.80/oz two weeks ago.  Though the price has since retreated to $1,925/oz, GoldSilver.com's precious metals analyst Jeff Clark says that's just a healthy retracement and that he expects new record highs ahead. One reason for that is because M&A activity is finally heating back up in the gold mining sector.

I objected strongly to the offer which I recall totalled about $39 million. I felt it was way too low . However, even at $50 million, WestGold would tie up Murchison and 20% of Turckanara, creating a substantial new opps for its underground mines alone, as there are over 30 open pit mines in these three areas , with known success rates of better than 90% that each will have or share basement ...more

Never mind dealing with Indigenous rights as in Canada that could take 3 to 5 years before you got permits ,  How much would it take to build a mill in the outback .  The cost of power and water . Bringing in electricity , and a waste dump at huge cost , never mind all the equipment and infrastructure like a camp , shops and warehouses .   $50 million wouldn`t come close ...more

Holding at $.10 prior to offer. This $.10 share price appears to be an orchastrated plan. $.30 offer, appears to be a good exit strategy.

Where did you guys get this 30c price from?
Comment by Wayned52 on Mar 29, 2022 12:38pm
not you guys . One guy . Ask him .

$.30 a share is the low valuation based on shareholders discontent with present management. It's public knowledge that West Gold has funds for a purchase. West Gold has indicated an interest in Monument Mining. A hostile offer of $.30 a share could succeed based on our past dissident shareholders' meetings. That is where the $.30 a share comes from. If it's going to happen, it ...more

Oh, right. Well if you think that 30c will succeed, then the offer will probably be for 20c. Personally, I wouldn't sell for less than 50c.  :-)

Hi Gazoo  ,   nice to see you posting again .  I have asked this question many times . Even of the main character , Wolfgang , always without a satisfactory answer . So here it is again .  Wolfgang through his company in Europe has control of roughly 60% of MMY shares give or take a few .      WHY doesn`t Wolfgang deal DIRECTLY  with West Gold and SELL ...more

I agree that this is a bit confusing, but I think it simply suggests that Wolfgang either doesn't have as much control as he has insinuated, there's too much spread between their bid and his ask, or in his esimation this isn't the right time.

Well if you talk to him , which he loves to do , he thinks any time is the right time .  At one time he was tight with West Gold and MMY but they fell out . Freddy or Gazoo can tell you how to contact him . He loves to Skype and will talk as long as you want .

Hi Wayne Here is my take on Europeans and MMY. The 60% European stake has there shares held by the banking institutions that do not forward voting documents unless they receive a substantial fees. I suspect many different account holders that were customers of Wolfgang are involved. Like us, Wolfgang realizes that our executive only look after themselves and not the shareholders.
