RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:How big is the digital experience monitoring market?

First, there are some generally recognized leadership qualities that can apply in many situations but I also believe the next CEO would also require to have some prior successful experience in the high-tech software business.  This is where I would fall short.

Notwithstanding, first 30 days I would be trying to understand the sales challenges.  Perhaps they would provide some glimpses as to the product.  That is to say, a needed good product in a large market is not practically impossible to sell.  At the same time, I would be speaking to all the employees, management and non-management alike asking them their views on things that are going well and more importantly opportunities for improvement and their suggestions how to improve them.  If the suggestions and ideas on the latter are none to sparse, basically implying satisfaction with the current growth and share price, I would be moving on because it would appear that there is not much to work with....I can't be a one-person show.

A compensation package of close to $400k per year sounds great but I don't think I have it within me to get up every day and lose millions of dollars per year and issue performance reports where on the piddly revenue generated a key success would be to grow flagship product revenues to a point where they are greater than the decline in legacy revenues.  That would be a short term goal of one or two quarters because that's what I am inheriting and it has to happen, but certainly not years.

If you have 5 minutes, go to the  MTLO website and read the few sections/paragraphs About the company.  How they describe themselves and how they describe the role that Wesley Clover provides to their investments and the success.

I hope the next NR in the near future is an announcement of a proven executive and provides his assessment of his plan to FIX this company.  If it comes with sugarcoating the past performance and great accomplishments, similar to those by the outgoing CEO, we are in wrong hands IMO.
