School is in Session

School is in SessionMining 101 - Concentrators like Max are usually built on minesites. Why? - because transporting low-grade run-of-mine ore large distances is uneconomic. Having a concentrator separated from a mine by even minor distances (ie. 30 km) generally makes the mining operation uneconomic. Many in this forum (contrary to what they say) have not done their due diligence, or have elected to ignore the facts.  Transporting ores at this grade over distances like this through tourist towns like Silverton, New Denver, Rosebery, Nakusp and Trout Lake is obscenely expensive, and residents of these towns are going to have a lot more to say about it should it even be considered.
