Slow labs, deep gold systems, and holding back assaysAlwaysLong, you made some great points that I have been wondering all along as well. To your comments I add: if a company does a major step-out from last known mineralization and hits bonanza grades, is that not material information that needs to be news released right away, and not held back for weeks, months? Have they not significantly expanded the deposit, making that material information?
Well, now, take Kirkland Lake's latest news release. Two things of significance:
1. They have hit high-grade gold 500 m down plunge from their deepest known mineralization at the Swan Zone, and 1000 m down-plunge at Robbin's Hill. They are showing that these orogenic systems are HUGE, and keep going down deeper and deeper.
2. They released results from 197 holes! Talk about holding back assay results and releasing them all at once!
