ShortingI can only speak for myself and say I have not seen such a relentless attack on a stock.
The gold is not going anywhere but yet.....
GTT the stock I had had our CEO ready to sell shares on the cheap to Muddy Waters a well known
shorting hedge fund. I still made money on the stock buy out but not nearly as much as I would
have had the CEO acted ethically.
The board threatened him with a law suite before he smartened up and grovelled for sometime
to get exhonerated from wrong doing by the board.
Guess he finally figuired getting a black mark on his record was not a good thing.
Wonder if he is still pals with Muddy Waters.
Bre-x was one I still wanted to short at $6 on the way down but chose not to as I had at least
one good friend it was still burning and it would have felt I was capitalizing on his misery.
I refused to short because of friendship but the current shorters are sleeping just fine ....
