GBR had about 400,000 metres of drilling completed I believe before an offer came. So, we will be a bit ahead of them as far as drilling is concerned. For anyone here to say that they know for certain that no majors have visited or not is silly. I have been involved in two takeovers at the senior management level in my recent career prior to retiring, and in both cases only the CEO, COO, and myself as CFO knew anything and not a single employee knew until we called staff togerher to make announcement..
I do not know if any visits have occurred (I suspect they have), but you can take to bank the fact that majors are at least talking to NFG here. All majors are looking for additional resources right now and all are flush with cash, strong share prices and lines of credit. Barrick has ecpressly stated they are not interested in a mega deal like Newmont just did, but that they are interested in maybe acquiring a promising junior with a strong development project!
