The Ontario Government remains confident in the Ring of Fire and as such they released a transportation plan for Northern Ontario in December.
One of its 6 goals is to create reliable travel options for remote and Far North communities.
Specific actions regarding this goal were outlined, including continued support for First Nations communities to advance Environmental Assessments on their individual all season road projects, to benefit their communities and connect them to the Ring of Fire.
