NioGold Mining (TSX-V: NOX) is a gold company focused in Quebec with several key properties. Our Malartic project is located 5 hours north of Montreal between the towns of Malartic and Val d’Or in the second largest gold region in North America. Over 45,000,000 oz gold have been produced in our 3 gold camps with over 15,000,000 oz gold in reserve. We are adjoining Osisko Mines and their developing 9,000,000 oz deposit that is scheduled for production in 2011.
NioGold has recently delivered a 43-101 report with 600,000 oz gold indicated and 360,000 oz gold inferred. The deposit has significant upside and only 20% of the targeted trend has been drilled. Exploration is continuing.
NioGold has entered into an agreement with Aurizon Mines wherein Aurizon is funding $20,000,000 of development drilling at Marban after which it will make a resource payment to NioGold for ½ the deposit estimated at $30,000,000. NioGold is the operator of the 3 year program. NioGold remains 100% in control of the balance of our properties, approximately 90% of 120 sq.km.
