Please help me better understand this...

I get that the IIROC will halt to ensure a fair and orderly market, but just like bearishbull1 said, this is been accumulating for a while now. I understand the abnormality but why do they Halt purely based on abnormal volume? Bening a fairly new investor can someone please tell me if generally the we see more gains after the halt is lifted given that there's no NR?

untill someone or some group dump on you all the shares in few seconds on fake volumes you will understand...it's to protect the average public investors in general...
