RE:Laying people off is not the AnswerYou seem convinced that NYX needs all the employees it has, and if it fires people to cut costs then the business will suffer. Which is admittedly a possibility, but certainly not the only one.

When a company acquires other companies typically the biggest source of incremental profit comes from the consolidtion of the workforce.

At this point it doesn't seem like NYX would be trimming essential parts of its labour force to reduce expenses. It seems far more likely that it needs to push the consolidation forward and then trim the now unneeded employees.
