kaosblues,

Like I said Nexen holdings are 85% outside Canada. Also who do you think owns Suncor and most of the rest of my province in Northern Alberta. I would be suprised if it was even 20% Canadian owned really.

Yes mostly foreign. And why do think that the present Government is pro- actively pursuing more trading partners abroad? Not only in Asia but in Europe as well as South America. Come on now I thought you to be better read.

Yes the good old USA is and likely will always be our greatest trading partner. Even if they are on the ropes right now.

I am skeptical about their recovery in the short term of course and we need new markets, but will take time.

Royalties/Taxes get paid to the crown no matter who owns the resource spread out to all have and have not provinces with no prejudice.

The Sask Potash thing was a little different though, as it was perceived like Nexen to be completely Saskatchewan or Canadian owned, even though it was and is not. Mostly American owned as I'm sure you know. Perceived being the politically operative word, as you know.

Yes QE3 is another bad step but is an obvious to support the Democrats to get them over the crest of the hill, too obvious to most really. But the 47% don't really care about that do they??

Kaos, I do respect your views but respectfully agree to disagree to some of your comments. Because I can and we're not in China right now.  If we close our borders to investment I think we have done a great wrong to an open and democratic society and would surely regress.

Just some loose thoughts.

GLTA,

lj
