RE:RE:Wonder what they have in mind. The reporter got it wrong (as usual). The license for Corentyne was due Nov 27, 2019 and CGX was supposed to drill a hole by then. The previous govt granted an extenstion to Nov 27, 2020. IF CGX would have drilled the hole by Nov 27, 2020, then CGX would have gotten another extension until Nov 27, 2022 to drill a second hole on Corentyne.
The deal is similar for Demarara except about 3 months delayed meaning they are supposed to drill on Demarara by Feb 23, 2021 (or close to that date) and then will get another extension to drill a second hole on Demarara by Feb 23, 2023.
Hoepfully the govt is just as confused and thinks we have until Nov 27, 2022 to drill a couple holes! Lol. I wish.
