Question TFSA

Want to transfer a few shares to tfsa in 2022 to reduce tax burden as well as rsp. Will they for sure know if they hit oil n 2021?
Comment by ljmorin on Sep 25, 2021 5:51pm
Oh they'll know allright. Not sure we will have the full picture by then other than they hit or not. Commercial or not might be something differant.  But if its a gusher, I'm sure it will come out.

My own opinion is that we may not know until months after the well is TD'd. CGX needs working capital real bad. They'll want to JV with someone with piles of money.Remember back about almost a decade ago that someone paid CGX $6 million to see their data room? Who was that? De Alba is going to play this close to his chest. Ya want info then pay. And a big part of that payment would be big ...more

I think your wrong dirk. Hess ponied up 5 Billion with Apache before their first succesful well was completed. They run the logs they will know. I would bet there are deals already in place pending succesful outcome. De Alba knows he gets way more if going it alone and then being successful will get a better deal, And everbody know FEC and CGX don't have the cash to bring it into production. ...more

Yeah I know who that guy was. But he is in Indonesia now. Friend of mine from Red Deer, Alberta. Proves my point though. Operational info means nothing. Had Jag hit producible volumes when they abondoned because of high pressures then we'd they would have plugged and produced what they had to at least recover the $230 million US to drill the well.>p> Maybe they should have. But Repsol ...more

Explain to me how he gets a sweet deal without divulging what he has to potential investors?? Hello. And I don't know where that fellow was from and nor do I care but he knew exactly what was going on. You weren't anywhere near this board under this name anyway then but you do seem to know quite allot about Jag. Maybe you are he? And there is no doubt that somebody will talk even moreso ...more

Dirk, you mentioned that oil passed through Eagle. Isn't Kawa slightly N to NE of Eagle making it down dip of Eagle, not up dip?
Comment by Dirksidetrack on Sep 26, 2021 4:43am
Cgx in their press release back then said that there was no seal and the oil had moved updip. I assumed to the west towards the fan structure that I posted with my post titled "Oil_Run". But let me check exactly where Eagle was. Wherever it was, it was too down dip to form a trap.

Boys, boys! C"Mon now. We are in this together. I have had my muscles with ljmorin over the years as he can be a sour guy but we are getting close to the end. I think you two are actually saying the same thing but timing different. Management will KNOW what they have before any shareholders. Shareholders will have rumour and speculation but I doubt CGX is putting out any NR with important ...more

I don't know. I'm trying to put myself in De Alba's shoes. Say I find 100 million barrels. Means I'm real close to much more. How do I play that?
Comment by ljmorin on Sep 26, 2021 10:41am
I agree with you WS Grasshopper. lol  Dirky's been a little sensitive lately. Just because I disagree doesn't mean I think your a dirk. GLTA,

Not trying to contest, just trying to help figure things out.

what you just described is illegal, trading on information that has not been made publicly available, that could get you in serious trouble - so I wouldn't be boasting about that here. Total did the deal with Apache, not Hess.

Apache released publically what they found. Don't know what info you are referring to
