I think we are all over scrutinizing the company.
They are not perfect, none of us are.
Plug and abandon was always the plan , regardless of the outcome.
As for feet of pay, we already have 71. A lot of ExxonMobil discoveries are in this range or a little more, no one question when they call their's a discovery. 
The most important thing is this time the pay zones are in thick packages and as OCM pointed out  the pay packages could spread out over kilometers.

I do believe though the PR department needs an overhaul. 
We will have a commercial discovery IMO.

Agreed Soul. Someone posted a number of commercial Exxon discoveries and most were below 200ft. So anywhere around that is a fantastic find especially when company is saying they are finding what they thought they would find. OBVIOUSLY they would have thought they were going to find commercial quantites of oil or they would not have spent 200mil on this hole. We need to keep these things in

Agreed WS and Soul. The NR said "has successfully reached total depth (TD) of 20,450’ on the Wei-1BP1 (Wei-1 bypass exploration and appraisal well)." An "exploration and appraisal well" is one that is drilled to appraise certain properties of an oilfield that has already been discovered by a wildcat well (Kawa). Yes Kelvin, the way forward WILL be interesting. Here are my thoughts. I agree 100 percent that Kawa was a discovery and when they drill an appraisal well thru the fat part of the Sant target i think the stringer issue will be a thing of the past and we will get another 200mil or so resource out of Kawa in addition to the 300-500 mil barrels from Wei (my guesses based on things i understand about

Well SportyJ can feel free to post my PM to him yesterday in reply to his to me. Because I wrote it, then I can repeat the gist of my post which is that I think that they have a helluva discovery.  In my reply to SportyJ I said that my friends "collective" as some people refer to us feel that some arrangement with a major will be made where the major becomes the operator because

As there aren't many new discoveries I could see exxon buying it, and they could have an oligopoly in the region.
