Musk claims he started out on his own but his dad said it was the African emeralds that got him going. I know as a fact one of his first big hits was selling a street locator system to the Tribune Company in 95 or so.
Yes Africa is a treasure trove for some but not all. Will Recaf ever really hit it big? I don't doubt it but the question really is will there be a market for it then with governments pushing electric vehicles and outlawing petroleum fueled cars. I doubt it!
