Speculation

It would help if the management would be a bit more transparent and release a bit of information rather than having investors speculating about possibilities. I thought corporations were suppposed to be democrtic institutions. Instead they are a bunch of little dictators. All that talk about not wanting to release any info that would result in hostile takeovers is a bunch of BS. The big boys are already sniffing around and finding things out. When RECO do complete wells and have results the big boys will be the first to know.. /////SO WHY THE SECRETS.

Judomacca, how would the majors be "sniffing around and finding things out," and what exactly would they be finding out. This is why it is important to keep the information confidential, and prevent an offer from being made prior to the full realization of the value/extent of the resources. The majors are not all knowing corporations - google Kashagan, that was a giant field that was ...more

TurnToTheRight I think you probably have some connection to Management. Your reference to Kasagan is completely irrelevent to the current situation. That one was a completely previousy undiscovered find whereas RECO has been widely publicized and the entire community knows about the RECO potential. Thus making it high profile and necessary for news to be disclosed or people get suspicious. The ...more

If you don't have faith in the integrity of the RECO team I suggest you take the next TurnToThe ParkingArea with your pre-shcool level criticisms.

Firstly, the Kashagan reference was to give an example that the majors miss massive resources in areas very close to current operations. The majors, simply because they are operating offshore Namibia, does not mean they have any interest at this point in what RECO is doing onshore. Please explain to me why you think it is better to disclose confidential information to the public now and risk an ...more

This could go on forever. You are so pro-management you are offering frivuolous arguments in favour of secrecy. Like why on your flip side would an offer be made by a major without results. That would be ridiculous on their part. People deserve to know results which makes the stock more valuable as new results become known. It is logical that neither management or shareholders would tender shares ...more

Your second last sentence is EXACTLY why management doesn't want to release results well by well. Most investors have no clue how to value the company or the assets based on the information. Those with industry experince have an idea, but without fully knowing the information can't make accurate estimates. The infomation is useless to 99% of all investors, so why release it other than to ...more
