The Company, through its wholly owned subsidiary Empower, has developed a design process technology, the Bitumen Extraction and Separation Technology (BEST), at its Empower Pilot Facility for taking discarded or defective single-use asphalt shingles, and extracting the liquid asphalt for use in new hot mix asphalt, shingle manufacturing and asphalt flat roof systems, and aggregate and fiber for use in construction products and other industrial applications. IKO

IKOHas to be a cost savings over landfill which proves some of the economic argument for Northstar.
I wonder how much feedstock this provides for the plant? Until we know , hard to tell how important this is.
As far as whether works the process works , would IKO divert the rejects just to save money? or more likely should we accept the technology works and they save money?
Would be better if this included a repurchase of the ingredients,  but they have an existing agreement
