RE:RE:RE:RE:Vote This needs to be answered. The Horse racing Management DEMANDED to be excluded from this bill; In fact would have blocked it's passage ifthe Government got in the way.
(I have a racing license in Ontario, and have owned a few over the years)
Racing needs to control; the odds / payouts in house so as not to be exposed to huge payouts
without equal amounts on the losing bets. They would get higher take outs from the bets in-house
to fund their purses and expenses. They actually expect to allow Sports bets on site at Mohawk etc. from their terminals, with appropriate rake out and commissions to add to their income.
