Nobody is buying the narrative, Danny boy

Investors are only willing to pay 30 cents for SGI in spite of Catalysts share exchange offer with an implied value of over 40 cents Canadian.  That speaks volumes regarding what the market thinks of Catalyst.

Thank you for the comment mate.  What you need to look at was the SP was .22 prior to the talks with CYL and once the merger was announced it actually shot up to .38. The Merger still has another month or so to play out, the closer it gets to that time the higher it will go. Most Investors like to be certain the deal is going to go ahead before throwing their money in. You will have ...more

"If you look at past mergers that haven't gone through, the SP has always dropped back to the price it was or lower if it gets voted down." again fear mongering. that is not always true. that happens only if the fundamentals of the acquired company remain the same. the only reason sgi share price was down was because it was right after the year of hell near 52 week low and people ...more

Riverrow please understand the nuances that occur during a T/O, firstly you would have noticed the increase in volume of shares traded since the bid was announced (70-100% increase) which means above average sell orders from existing shareholders who may want out due to pending ASX lisitng or just want the cash now instead of share script, or have had enough of waiting for the transitory ...more

liar, $300 million obviously does matter because now that cyl purchased overvalued bloated van they need sgi infrastructure, and a large mill would be needed if they are going to mine low grade open pit. if they can't steal sgi for $50 mil, then they would have to spend $300 mil to build it and not even get sgi 6 mil oz gold. a NO vote from sgi would mean that cyl can increase their bid for ...more

Would it kill u to be civil? Just because I have a different opinion to you does not make me a liar! You do realise CYL have a plan B to acquire Sandfire Degrussa plant/mine with similar airstrip and plant for a lot lot less .  NST like losing money?  non core? (I thought NST was a gold miner??) NST were extremley smart selling @ 66 cents the then single largest shareholder in SGI ...more

camel like all bashers mindlessly point at the share price as if that proves anything. camel, why weren't you pointing at sgi share price when it was near 52 week high $1.20 in the year of profit and saying "look! look at the sgi share price, the high share price proves sgi is a great company!!". instead camel was in hiding back then. like a coward vulture, camel only points at the ...more

There is a beautiful saying that 'those who dwell in the past and fear the future miss the present' and  the present reality is this, SGI shareholders are in a T/O situation that is 100% supported and recommended unamiously by SGI's BOD and Executives of SGI to accept the bid at a paper price of 40 cents not $1.20. Invest I am not your enemy here on this occasion. I want the ' ...more

you want the no vote to win because you want to steal sgi at an even lower price than bid, how magnanimous of you. you yourself said management and bod have hardly any shares. so what they vote would not do much when the yes needs 66.67%. you assume the major shareholders would vote yes. even if they do, it may not add up to 66.67%. that is why there will be a vote. all that is needed is 33.34 ...more
