again fear mongering. that is not always true. that happens only if the fundamentals of the acquired company remain the same. the only reason sgi share price was down was because it was right after the year of hell near 52 week low and people were afraid of the q4 financials.
if a company during that time changes its fundamentals and switches from large loss to profit, the share price does not need to drop. even if it does temporarily drop, sgi would be better off without the extra market cap baggage from cyl+van as sgi makes a profit during 2023 with quarter after quarter improvement since their 2023 mine plan calls for ore grade to increase as they mine new higher grade stopes.
