Great news

I am busy in some meeting and had a chance to scan the PR. Will read carefully later. This is very good news and I am very glad about the barge drilling going well. Doubling the program to 100,000 metres is a fricken big deal folks. Congrats to all the longs here.

Question:  How deep did they drill these holes?  I see highlights shown, but does anyone know how deep these holes were drilled?  I'm curious as to  what, if any intercepts were found below these highlighted depths.
Comment by geezer21 on Nov 10, 2021 12:39pm
The intercepts were only 50 to 60 meters down and the widths are good.
Comment by geezer21 on Nov 10, 2021 12:59pm
Correction depth was 50 to 150 meters.  Very shallow.

So essentially, you're saying holes were drilled to 150 meters, but nothing of significance was found beween 60 and 150 meters?  Or, am I wrong.  BTW, I own shares, so I want these results to be great.  But, correct me if I'm wrong--isn't this resource rather limited in depth?

This first hole confirms the structure they have. The big numbers will probably come  in further holes. As far as depth NFG has been drilling a lot more and just last month went to 300 m and hit another structure (by luck maybe)  These are tough structures to hit on consistanly and especially at depth. Proving you have the structure figuired out is huge. They did not increase their ...more

This news has me feeling so good I think I may just have someone walk the plank just for the halibut.   Anyone feel like they want to be fish food? IKE

Thanks for the reply.  Good point regarding the increased drilling.  The initial drilling was really pretty shallow, so I'm curious as to what is at depth.  I just wish they could have drilled deeper holes.

Basically, from my more  limited understanding is that you drill, shallow, to find the gold first. Drilling is VERY expensive and if there is nothing there, your not wasting money. It is only after one determines there is gold there, and the structure of the veining, that you go to depth. However, typically, the more serious gold exists at  lower levels, but until the top is understood ...more

ggnewmex1 Your post came at the perfect time. You are 1000% correct. This should have been included in my reply to Trackman.  Thanks BC

ggnewmex1 it all depends on what structures you are drilling for.and where. Yes epizonal orogenic structures are good shallow on the rock but if you are in the Bendigo everything is deep. Look at esnr and how deep their initial hit was. Fosterville swan zone is 4 to 5,000 feet. You might find some aluvial gold at surface but would never reach the prize. IKE

Trackman,  You are looking at a piece of the story which this company has been putting together since 2018 and more so the past 1.5 years. You need to understand what they are doing in terms of underrstanding the complex structure. You sound like you are looking at today's results and making all types of assumptions ect. The news today was received very well by the market since the ...more

BC, Do you think that SIC has enough cash in their current treasury to carry out their just announced extensive drilling campaign?  I agree with you this is huge news and that Tim truly believes that they are on to something special here. Regards, Goldred

Goldred,  That is a good quesiton and I also thought of that today. So the below is based on facts and my thoughts. The latest FS on SEDAR are the June 30, 2021 audited FS which show $15.4M of cash on hand. The September 30 quarter 1 financials will be filed prior to November 30. In several podcasts since June 30, Tim has stated the Company had cash in treasury of a slightly higher amount ...more
