The shorts were an obsious! It was a no brainer to short when it hit .30. It follows a drop into the teens is a great profit so you would be stupid not to cover. That said, should it firm up with nothing happening you might see a large short interest again with 2 weeks to cover! Somehow retail investors see a long as an investment but get confused thinking a short is a long short position. A short is just that short. Heck you might cover the same week depending on price! This is quite realistic - except when goldprice would explode...
so in the normal case it will mean a kind of consolidation of sp (perhaps also including going down...)
we can relax and watch and add some shares in dips
