Speculation on future business operations

If I may be so bold as to speculate on where this company can be taken.

Should the big data machine learning pan out to be more efficient and effective than traditional methods, there are some pretty exciting possibilities.

SPOT should have access to more information than any one explorer. I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility that they branch into exploration themselves after they feel the data is there and the price is right.

Possible scenario:
They are hried to perform their analysis on a set of properties owned by differnt companies in the same region. They combine their data to speculate on deposits outside of these owned regions and or regions owned by struggling companies. They can buy/form a joint venture for cheap and expand the resource base from there.

The major difference from other junior explorer companies is that they already have a revenue stream to cover the exploration costs. Instead of having to do frequent financing, they can just do it on their own terms.
Once enough resource has been established they can sell it to a developer and use the gains to do it again.

I don't expect them to branch out into this line of business anytime soon, but it does seem to fit in the natural progression of things.

Very interesting contribution CamPie.  Personally, I would prefer they sell this information to the highest bidder (willing to include royalties, smelter rights, etc.). I like the big margins they could get off of such business. I don't like the cap-ex they would need to pull off a mine.

Again, from (hopefully accurate) memory, their plan would be to JV the land position rather than spend money to drill it themselves. Basically, they could offer the brains and the tech for a percentage cut and/or royalty, and ...more
