Yes it is legal, but should be criminalized.... you wonder how many mining companies are ruined, and also how demoralizing it can be for many new investors... I don't blame you, but only the Stock Market administrators that creating and legalizing this evil process... shorting creates stock manipulation...

It is legal because it has big advantages for big capital who run monopolies and eat on the fear and little flexibility of small investors to weather the big waves.
