Good find. I love that they specifically reference saliva tests. Have a great day!

Good find!!! Health Canada is currently prioritizing the review of: tests that can be used at point-of-care to provide rapid diagnostic or monitoring results, including antigen tests saliva tests (tests that use spit as the sample instead of a sample from the nose or throat)

I have a thought...Can Therm start producing the tests...not selling them but start producing and stock-piling the tests in anticipation of approval? This would obviously be a risk but it could pay off to have 500K units per week being produced so there would be stock available when approval is obtained.

Tests have an expiry date. Also, big risk for the business owner -- but its a free country.

Although a good idea, where would the get the funds for that? Financial institutions would not take the chance to lend money to them, therma certainly doesnt have the cashflow to do it themselves and who would blindly throw money at them with their track record? Cant see it happening...they need FDA approval or at minimum a statement stating excatly what the last step to FDA approval for them is

I was thinking the same thing Moose. Wondering why they haven't started production. How much does it cost them to make vs what they're sold for? I'm sure they'd be able to sell them regardless of outcome.

Sandman...what are you talking about 'I'm sure they'd be able to sell them regardless of outcome'...in what world would that be possible to sell a medical device without approval?

The demand is high. Third world of countries without strict regulations or The dollar store as a novelty item. People buy jarred farts they won't have trouble selling them.

You're missing the point. They could start producing now to get a jump on production. The demand is high and it is still a very viable test. They could sell them regardless of outcome and recoup their costs.

you are missing the point...where are they going to get the money form production...who would float the funds to them?

Spy...Rob said in an interview that they had been offered funding of production in order to get priority sales.

Moose...i have no doubt someone would step up and front production costs...but that would only be once approval is granted

They've already purchased the materials to make the tests.. whatever happened with that? Maybe another PP would get it rolling or a large company or partner could step up.

In order to have any chance, there first has to be a submission of results from the most recent round of tests. We are not unique. There are plenty of saliva tests available. Throw some cold water on your face and come to the realization that Therma Bright has no ability to deliver. AJMO

Terr...I agree with teh first part of your statement but stating there are 'plenty' of salaiva tests out there is just flat out wrong...and regarding the ability to deliver? well the jury is out but until the company states it or FDA gives a big VETO that is still to be determined as well...you either roll the dice and take the chance or you dont...its simple really

On Canadian news today they said there is an all out shortage of rapid tests. It is the future and quick FDA approval will be extremely timely. They can hit this market when it is really starting to take off.

Senile Moose is now having imaginary conversations with Rob. Stop the lies and nonsense. The process takes time and no news can be good news, just a matter of time hopefully within the week. The need for rapid tests is going nowhere and will be here for years
