Too bad they weren't recruiting in Germany. They would be done the trial in one week.

We understand that  there is no available drug  today to cure E. Coli infections. Shigamab has been testing in P 2 that this drug is safe and posting no danger to patients. Why not let all those German E.Coli infected patients try this drug and see if it works or at least  to tame this kind of infection. If it does not work, they have nothing to lose. Trust me, Management knows about the situation in Germany.I might be wrong but I think that it would be a lose, lose situation sending the drug to Germany. First of all if the people get better, you can infer that it was the drug but you can not prove that it was the drug that made them better, so no point doing that. Secondly if anyone gets worse after taking the drug (even if it is not the drug ...more

Guys I wasn't seriously suggesting sending to Germany. First of all it would take 6-8 months to clear regulatory hurdles there, and then you would only ever get approval to run a structured trial with all the customary controls.Europe is the most highly regulated territory in the world...by the time you got the trial in place this crisis would be over.PK
