Theralase Technologies Inc. > US economic recovery

US economic recovery

So, does anyone know what this really means, launching US sites pending economic recovery. Is it job numbers, stock market, Covid cases. What's the criteria ? Seems vague. Why should any of that stop US sites if the hospitals have capacity to do it.

In my opinion it's cheerful gobbledegook. The pandemic is currently at it's height. When will the United States economy recover from the COVID-19 pandemic? Certainly not in 1Q21. Maybe 2Q21 or 3Q21? Theralase keep talking about launching US sites in 4Q20 and 1Q21, subject to impossible conditions.

Surgeries, oncology treatments, etc ... are all postponed by COVID-19 patient cases.  Hospital budgets are strained.  All confirmed by the US Surgeon General. This surge is different because "it’s really about health care capacity," Surgeon General says Dr. Jerome Adams detailed how health care capacity is the biggest problem caused by the current spike

USA Today/Suffolk Poll. Sept. 2/3 polled won't take the vaccine. CNN Poll. only 1/2 Americans willing to take vaccine. STAT-Harris Poll. Nov 10. Most citizens won't take vaccine unless it cuts risk in half. Biden Dec 4. Vaccine will not be mandatory. IMO it would be best for TLT( for at least the next 6 mos) to concentrate their best efforts in Canada, at least here we have a head ...more

Eoganacht is right. 6 days ago ...  COVID-19: Elective surgeries back on hold around US  With hospitals increasingly full, Americans can’t get important medical treatments The term "elective surgery" covers a wide range of hospitalizations, many of which are serious, such as removing a cancerous tumor. And this below, was on Nov. 19.  Just imagine now, as COVID-19 ...more

The vaccines should do the job.  As soon as hospitalizations drop even slightly, we should see trial sites moving forward and fast hopefully.  Next week in the US and End of December-January in Canada.  IMO

Canada is receiving its first doses next week.  259,000 out of 29 millions they ordered. Same ratio for the US. 20M out of the 1.01 billion doses ordered.  Operation Warp Speed plans to vaccinate 20 million people this month. Not enough to vaccine everybody.  And 2 doses are required, spaced by 30 days, if I'm not mistaken for the Pfizer/BioNTech one. And it will all go the ...more

I very much hope you're right.
Comment by CancerSlayer on Dec 07, 2020 10:48pm
Agree.  The U.S. is rapidly ramping up vaccine inventory for its healthcare workers.  Most heavily impacted states should start vaccinating before month end (post anticipated approval within the next 2 weeks).  Between Moderna & Pfizer, there should roughly be 25 to 30 million doses available in the US by year end.  So even for a two-dose vaccine (booster is given ...more

I still think they are lacking a good approved dependable therapeutic for all those hospitalizations that are occurring by the thousands. An excerpt: "The first two are the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines while the third expected EUA is from CytoDyn Inc. (OTCMKTS: CYDY).  This is a repurposed monoclonal antibody that is the only remaining phase 3 drug candidate with a mortality benefit that ...more
