I'm impressed that she actually wrote a textbook in this area. "Vera is a published author, with her last work being Clinical Trials Audit Preparation: A Guide for Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Inspections" It seems that she is the kind of person who can be selective about which work she takes. The fact that she signed on here is a good sign.

Big fan of the Vera hire!! A trial professional is more valuable than the CEO position IMO. Wondering how earnestly they were/are searching for a competent CEO as it is my belief that they were/are biding their time until Roger's suspension is up.

The question is how many topline CEOs would work for Theralase considering its current SP? They are not going to attract the cream of the crop CEOs. A scientific position however is different. Not only did they look for someone of her stature she accepted the position. They identified they needed to find someone like her and she obviously found the science and current results favorable. I don't think they would be looking for a top line CEO. These folks have reached the top of the food chain and have no desire to begin again. It is often the case where the ideal candidate is already employed by a big pharma and is frustrated as he/she does not see an opportunity for advancement or express his/her ideas, a small pharma with encouraging science could be ideal for a bright

Well, as I understand it he was a bit of a Himbo basck in the late seventies. Spent way too much time at Studio 54, but he was quite a dancer and the ladies liked him. That stype of announcement usually means one of the biggies nowadays : Sexual misconduct , racist background, financial wrongdoing, etc, or could even be anti LGBTQ comments, prior work at Residential schools , former religious affiliations or beliefs , etc . I couldn't ever figure out why they hired a guy for the laser division, I considered this as misplaced priorities and a focus in the wrong direction. The fact he is gone (for whatever reason) and the hiring of this extremely qualified scientist indicates they have redirected their priorities where they should be.

Like all of you I'm glad to see the change up to more clinical trial experienced people. I have to say, the whole Trikoka thing was weird from the get go. Was I the only one that thought it was strange that the only pic for the ceo was a blurry off centre picture (see the cover of the last newsletter)? Just strange. CEOs usually warrant a high quailty pic. I'm sure we will never know. TLT
