thank you so much ss I will keep this in mind :-) I didn't know that with CIBC that you need a certain amount of involvement with them. I was under the impression that if someone opened the Edge trading account that they would be able to trade for $6.95 regardless of whether they have any other accounts. Nevertheless, it makes sense because while they give you a good trading rate they are a bank after all and would like to get it from somewhere else such as if you hold say $60,000 plus assets in any of their accounts. And we know what that always means low interest on daily banking accounts and high service charges.
