Didn't disclose much detail, but Bill Middleton knows this business so I'll assume the cash outlay wasn't too high compared to the prospects for a revenue stream. The shortfall in the last private placement may turn out to be a good thing for existing shareholders if the company can continue to deliver on Middleton's plan and then raise more capital to support growth once the SP is higher and fund managers see a good track record. The last PP was bought by insiders - a vote of confidence.
