Are when or if on funding the wrong question?Dear Pip,
I never got to florence. Been to Naples, Rome, and a short visit to Venice. Oh well, very different times back in the 70s. They still liked us back then. Mainly like the US dollar. I meet a set of twins back then in Naples that had daddy's yacht for the summer. They follow my ship to five ports and when we anchored out they would drive by to pick my up. Lots of fun.
Okay are we asking the wrong questions on Ucore's funding. Pip, you have been following Ucore a long time so ask yourself this question. Is Ucore slow and cautious to the point that you could pull your hair out? That is the way I remember it. Yet in less than 18 months Ucore changed course very quickly. It started with the independent testing of the pilot plant. That took almost three months to release the results. We got just a brief summary of the results. I and others thought that AIDEA paid for the testing, but what if it was someone else? The testing was the turing point. The Demo plant when from a 8 slice plant that did the top 4 paying REEs to a 51 or 52 slice plant that does all the REEs plus the battery metals. Plus a standard SX cycle to show the different between the two. Then we when to a brown site in LA instead of a green site in Ketchekan. As soon as Ucore chose a site the funds from LA when from 15 to 20 million plus grants for rent and utility upgrade. Ucore is hiring 3 exes. Who ain't working for free.
All I am saying is that Ucore is not acting like a slow and cautious company that is worried about money. It is acting like a company that know it has funding and as it hit milestones it get cash.
So I ask you to look at Ucore's actions instead of the PRs. I think they have funding or something that guarantees funding and are just not talking about it.
I know Pip, wishfully thinking or a clue to what is happening. I know that it is not going to change Rod or your views. Money in the bank account is the only thing that counts. But think about it.
I am going to go enjoy the day on the back porch.
