The reality is no one shorts a penny biotech except people locking in the sp while they wait a week for their warrants to arrive. Anyone who studies shorts on this board is dumb because the warrant exerciser will cover his short with the paper when it arrives. ie no short squeeze can ever occur.
MustangSalley, below is the short report since VPT started trading again....you will see that since it started trading it's been played with on multiple occassions. I am not the problem I do however understand that todays trading was short selling...in the first few minutes of trading 950,000 +/- were sold at 66 cents...that was the high of the day (now it did hit 67 on the PURE platform) from that stage on the price continued to drop and it large amounts. For a stock that made 12 cents in the two previous days and with a sale at the open of just under 1 million the price should have rose and eose nicely but it didn't....so why is that???????...because the 950,000 was dropped into the market to make a profit...and I'm sure it did for someone. You will also notice by the chart info supplied that people have been shorting and closing those positions by the month as they see fit.....the name of the game is short it (make a profit) bring it up (make more profit).....I'm not the enemy here I'm a long and I don't short (way too many risks)....but as a person that is been into stocks for 40 years I know when a stock is being shorted. We are on someones HAPPY list...and they are happy to play with VPT as they see fit.
You might also pay attention to the fact that I was warning people early in the day to stay long....previous to that I comented on the GREAT NEWS......
