i can tell you one thing
that all light coloured eclogitic fragments contain diamonds recovered from kimberlite pipes. and Northway has them.
with the sheer volume of our enormous pipe. we don't need high diamond grade to make the economics work to put this into production.
a limiting factor to many pipes discovered in canada is size, they are just too small for any major to make sense of it, in part because most have been eroded by glaciers.
the size and depth of which northway is, plus the fact that it is preserved right from the crater facies at the very top is what captured the imagination of the diamond sector.

Must be a small sector with an average daily volume of less than 200,000. Why isn't the chance of it having diamonds already priced in?

still need to prove through caustic fusion that there is in fact diamonds. lots of work ahead of us. but so far everything looks as it should.
