RE:RE:RE:RE:Well look at that Sam. I agree with all of the above. I only provided my original comment because the original post seem to imply that this fibre optic technology would replace wi-fi. I just don't see that happening.
If it ever becomes commercially available, then I think it could be a boost, but it is a long way off. Fibre optic has been rolled out many homes in large urban centre and their downtown/commercial centres. So, having a wi-fi router tied directly to the fibre optic cable from the provider that has a fast transfer rates and the ability to connect multiple devices without affecting performance would be a good thing, right?
