Good Points ChuLai on...

Good Points ChuLai on...GoldCorp. Not only is this the lowest cost producer in the gold industry, but they do, as you noted, have a huge stake in Silver Wheaton. And SW owns a bit over 15% of Bear Creek. Then yesterday, I read in David Pesod's Late Edition speculation that SW might just want to go ahead and buy out the rest of Bear Creek they don't already own. Who knows? But it does make some sense. With the fantastic and continued success they've been having on their Corani silver/gold project in Peru, someone interested in silver are going to want to own this. Indeed, Corani may become the silver equivalant of Eleonore. I agree that Andre could not have found a more attractive partner than GoldCorp. John Kaiser correctly panned this out to a "T" a number of weeks back, noting that Andre only wanted to sell "his discovery" while keeping his other properties and cash. I can live with my problem of receiving a bag of GoldCorp stock at a very substantial discount to what I paid for Virginia. If someone comes along and makes a better offer - great. I'm very happy today. But I can always be happier.
