WHO'S BUYING ?

I can tell you RETAIL is selling like crazy while INSTITUTIONS are buying everything ...... Why ? Big INSTITUTIONS are valuing that VIA is worth a little more than 10.30$/share . Let alone if a new bidder appears ..... My friends are asking me what should they do with their shares ,after listening to me , they sell like there is no tomorrow even after I told them that I still keep my shares for a higher bid or only to get my Goldcorp shares + my new VIA shares . And you know what ? They all want to get a penny stock to buy in the Eléonore area . Last January , when I bought SOI at 10 cents per share no one took my advice they had enough speculation with VIA . Let me put it to you this way : new VIA.B is worth a lot more to me than any of Eléonore neighbours including SOI . I remember a conversation with André & Paul in June 2004 , so a long time ago , they said at that time that they have to do their homework once again because they now know what to look for or they could have overlooked some anomalies ..... To resume , they know what to look for more than ever and I will follow them for the next few years !!!!!

Good article on LA PRESSE this morning. About the price of Golcorp, they pay a dividend of 1.5 centUS/month. Can somebody confirm. I think that the price of the shares of New Virginia will be a lot higher whath is on the book.. yb

sorry monsiuer, when I typed what I did, I was referring to Glamis being the leading candidate when I had first heard that Eleonore would be sold. That was a couple of months back (and I posted it then). I think you're right that something is up though. I would hold your shares if I were you. 10million shs will have traded since monday by the end of today. Like you said, retail is ...more

volumes are huge / price is firm - the market thinks a superior bid is coming. Holding onto the bulk of my position.....this could get better, real quick.

Several questions for you if you don't mind. I am interested in continuing with Andre and the new Virginia but I don't want to have to carry the price of Goldcorp and Eleonore along until it splits off when the deal is done. Then I will look at buying into the new Virginia. How long do you think it will take to close the deal? I like Goldcorp but don't want that much of my mining ...more

Unfortunately , I guess It won't be before February when the deal closes ..... BTW someone on this board said that Glamis could be a suitor for Eléonore and it is quite possible . I noticed GLG moving much higher than his peers over the last few days ...... same pattern happened with Goldcorp last week ..... maybe just a coincidence but it is meaningfull when you pay with your SHARES !!!!

I think Telfer knows that he's landed a real prize and he will put up the fight of his life to keep it. BTW I found a fix for my dilemna of not wanting to tie up too much capital in a major though I really like Goldcorp and want to stick with Eleonore until it's true scope is known. I'm trading Goldcorp options to retain the exposure and leverage the upside. When the deal is done I& ...more

For anyone who may not be aware, Goldcorp also owns a majority stake in Silver Wheaton (SLW) which is a unique royalty play on silver. Silver Wheaton has a major position in Bear Creek (BCM.V), one of Catherine McLeod-Seltzer and David Lowell's ventures which is working a major silver discovery in Peru. I don't think Andre could have found a more attractive partner than Goldcorp.

GoldCorp. Not only is this the lowest cost producer in the gold industry, but they do, as you noted, have a huge stake in Silver Wheaton. And SW owns a bit over 15% of Bear Creek. Then yesterday, I read in David Pesod's Late Edition speculation that SW might just want to go ahead and buy out the rest of Bear Creek they don't already own. Who knows? But it does make some sense ...more
