Share price has been declining all week. What appears to be excellent 1st quarter results made no difference.

Anyone have any insights into what's going on here?

My only guess is the uncertainty of what they'll do with all their cash. Seems the market dosen't like, understandably, when O&G companies blow their brains out on large aquisitions. Or will they inhance what they already have, or buybacks or divy. These are the questions I believe the market is waiting to sort out, bwdik

Agree on the cash. E&Ps need to either have significant quarterly growth or pay dividends. Case in point Parex production #s were in line but they increased dividend and stock is up $1.16. Guaranteed if they announce even a one time $50mm divy payment stock will rock. Then of course there is another acquisition to consider.

Was there tax payment in this quarter? Seems it's accrued and will materialize in a future quarter.

Nope. Will in Q-2 then the tax pools may kick in.

So, if the tax protocol doesn't kick in and tax is paid in next quarter then depending on accrued tax amount, we may not have net positive earnings but a net loss. USD19428,000 minus the tax amount

Taxes r a necessary evil for all companies.. CF is king anyway. IMO. I am sure your questions will be answered at the AGM
