Bpultra, let me calculate for you :-) . Let's see.... $2.40 down to $0.40..... then, for your $2.40 VTR block to break even at BTO share price in the future, assuming you hold onto your converted BTO share.... BTO has to be worth $2.80 * 6 = $16.80/share to get your VTR money back....  .

True, but $16.80 is not out of the question.  I think $10.00 is realistic though if we get moving on Kiaka and have a recovery in gold sector.  It should be interesting to see what if any the revised target prices are going to be for BTO.  There has to be some upward revisions.  BTO obviously places value on Kiaka and are assuming gold production from that project in the future ...more

I know this is a tough one for BP to swallow but you guys did get a break today with this takeover offer. VTR was in a very tough position as they just didn't have the cash to re-define Kiaka into a viable project in this new gold price environment. VTR shareholders have probably lost the opportunity for a 5 bagger but you probably have a shot at a double from here if you're patient ...more

============================= yap... my 2.40 block.. is ugly..but I traded around some others and got some down considerably..but I was afraid of this and it happened.. but a red take over for me.. I will stay in and see how and if the sector pans out come the new year.. someone asked to sell or take loss .depends if it is in a cash account maybe take the 100% increase today.. cash out and take ...more

Yes, BP, I feel your pain for that $2.40 block.... but nothing small guys can do..... With a large position in VTR, losing one third (averaged $0.65) gives me pain also.... I thought a takeover would be in the $0.80s range like ADM (Andina Minerals)?!
