Ozempic

I wonder why these issues are never posted??
other than the obvious reasons of course

my guess is that we are about to see a surge in all forms of weigh and cardiovascular treatment s given the cost of managing the problems    Apnea machines are cost effective and have no apparent downside.

a rising tide lifts all boats

To balance out your perspectitive see another CBC article posted today below......All drugs have side effects....The question is: Is it better to take the drug than not, given the risk of the desease....I am sure you know that.  Drugs like Ozempic are popular for weight loss. That's because there's been little other help: obesity doctors | CBC Radio

Hard to put any store in anything the CBC says. Trudeaus communications wing has absolutley no place in my life, but I guess they do have a few people that follow that stuff.

Westcoaster wrote "Hard to put any store in anything the CBC says. Reminds me of Hitler and Trump doing the same thing. As Westcoaster has stated in the past, he shares the same values as Trump. GLTA

I'm a huge Trump supporter. As a dual citizen I send money to the GOP and we will see Trump re-elected next year because I do share his views of common sense governance like 75 million of my fellow voters do. Hitler, nope, never was a fan of Hitler.

There are a number things to take into consideration with Ozempic.  I'm currently taking the medication. 1. It's an expensive medication.  I don't have medical  insurance so for a fairly low dose of 1mg per week, it costs me $260 per month.  My understanding is that in the States, the cost is significantly more. 2.  I feel there is limit to the weight loss. & ...more

I'm not sure if you are in the US, or Canada. Try searching for a coupon to help with the cost. I think in Canada they have a different health care system then the US. If you are a US citizen you can probably have your doctor give you a script, and use it in Canada.

That american Dr writing scripts to be filled in canada is a problem.in the past, it has created problems for Canadians. I am totally against that practice. If you are american, get your drugs at home!

No concern from me. I have been to over thirty countries around the world, and it has never been an issue. In third world countries people can't afford to pay for a doctor's visit so they just go to the local pharmacist. The pharacist becomes the persciber which is fine. In these countries it is allowed.  Most drugs aren't made in the US anyway. Just because you bought it here ...more

From what I've gained from the word on the street out there about these weight loss miracle drugs it aligns perfectly with what you say. Costly, not a one shot cure-all, side effects such as stomach paralysis and diarrhea to contend with. Americans were flooding into BC and hoarding everything they could get their hands on until our provincial government put the brakes on that notion, so they ...more
