And yet there is no confirmation from Changchun Sinoenergy that the PP closed and no update re the revised Outside Date and the Foreign Investment Review extension….
 
Although in my opinion the odds are in favour of the deal closing it is far from guaranteed.
 
The reality is that Sinoenergy can walk for a number of reasons. The worst case for them is that they “could” be liable for the $20m penalty.
 
IT’S NOT A DONE DEAL UNTIL THE MONEY CHANGES HANDS!
 
The Long Run IR dept. will continue to say that they “expect” the deal to close by May 31 until the moment that they say something else.
